AIR-TEC PRIVACY POLICY
At Air-Tec, we care about your privacy and we respect your privacy rights. Air-Tec ensures through our best efforts that any information that you provide to us remains private and will only be used for the purposes outlined in this Policy. This policy describes the categories of personal information we collect, how your personal information is processed and for what purposes we process your information during the recruitment process. As far as reasonably possible, Air-Tec shall comply with any applicable Privacy Law/Data Protection Regulations.
SCOPE AND PURPOSE

Air-Tec takes its responsibilities regarding the protection of personal information very seriously. This policy explains how we use personal information that we may obtain about you and how Air-Tec complies with the requirements of the applicable data protection legislation.

SOURCES OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION AND TYPES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
It is intended that the Air-Tec Website can be used anonymously and that no personal information shall be collected from visitors, unless visitors provide it voluntarily. Notwithstanding this, when voluntarily commenting on the Air-Tec Website, or submitting any form of Media (i.e. Curriculum Vitae; Images etc.), certain information, apart from the information contained in the CV or the comments, is automatically collected, such as the visitors IP address.
THE TYPE OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT
COMMENTS
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
MEDIA
Should you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
CONTACT FORMS
We may collect the following types of information when you fill out the contact form on the Website: Personal Information that you provide directly on the website or through email inquiry, inquiring about the services Air-Tec provides. This may include personal identifiable information such as your name, contact information (phone number, and email address).
RECRUITMENT
When sending an email/your CV to the careers email address you will be asked to provide additional personal information. This information is used in the following ways:
• To process your job application(s) and;
• To answer any queries which you may send to us by email.
We may also collect personal information from third parties acting on your behalf or your instruction, including, recruitment agencies, recruitment platforms or through recommendations. This policy thus also applies to third parties whose information you provide to us in connection with the job application (for example, the person(s) you are related to who have a relationship or an interest with the Air-Tec Group).

In the application, selection and on-boarding process, Air-Tec may collect and use personal information in this process depending on the requirements of the role. This information is collected for explicit, specified and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner incompatible with those purposes.

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We take appropriate steps to protect the personal information you share with us. We have implemented technology and security features to safeguard the privacy of your personal information on platforms where said information is stored. Our website is hosted in a secure server environment at our hosting company. A firewall and other advanced security measures and tools are used to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. Authorised access to personal information is only provided for those employees who require it to fulfil their job responsibilities. We have also placed confidentiality requirements on all our staff. Disaster recovery procedures are also implemented where appropriate.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
The Air-Tec Group Head office is based in Ebene, Mauritius, and the Group is made up of several different companies in different jurisdictions; including South Africa. This means that due to its Global nature your personal information may very well be transferred to a country out of your country of residence, but only for the purposes mentioned above. We have safeguards in place to ensure that your personal data is protected in line with this policy.
HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
If you leave a comment on the Website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
In regards to any Curriculum Vitae and the information contained therein we retain your personal data for the period as outlined in our respective Data Protection Policies. This period may range between 3-7 years depending on the governing legislation. When you have been successful and joined the company, your personal data will be kept for the duration of your employment and as long as we are legally obliged to do so following any such employment.
WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA?
